Southern Sophistication

by JimW 23. August 2009 12:08

This sophisticated Southern Country home, with its updated Craftsman facade and spacious interior design, is both flexible and dramatic. A three-car garage, screened porch, spacious country kitchen, and optional bonus area and basement make this home irresistible!

Relax in the luxurious master suite which includes a tray ceiling, a sitting area, his-and-hers walk-in closets and an exquisite bath. The 14’3“ x 22’6” country kitchen, with a walk-in pantry, is open to the vaulted family room. A French door leads to the vaulted, screened porch. The deck is accessible from both the screened porch and the master bedroom. A decorative square column and tray ceiling adorn the elegant dining room. The secondary bedrooms each feature walk-in closets and individual baths. Tucked behind the functional laundry room are stairs accessing the optional basement and future bonus area.

Follow the steps down to the basement where a whole new world awaits! The family recreation area has a game room with plenty of space for a pool table. Also in this space is a full bathroom with access to a mechanical closet. Located right off the rec room is a home theater with a snack area for those movie-time munchies! A safe room and a large storage closet make the most of this below ground space. The boat garage is accessible through a rec room door. Completing this lower level is an in-law suite with a private bathroom, walk-in closet and a kitchenette.

The 1,535-sq.-ft. optional bonus room offers space for storage, etc.

Irresistible Craftsman Styling

by JimW 11. June 2009 10:36

This irresistible 1,820 sq. ft. home plan features Craftsman styling reminiscent of the early 20th century.  A covered porch invites you to enter the spacious dining and family room areas.  Raised ceilings, an arch-top window unit and a fireplace add drama to this space.  Accessible from the family room, a screened porch offers the perfect spot for sheltered socializing.  The roomy kitchen features a breakfast nook, pantry and access to the laundry room through a pocket door.

Located near the kitchen, the master suite sets a dreamy tone with its tray ceiling and sitting area which accesses the screened porch.  Separate his and hers closets provide ample hanging space for clothing.  The spacious master bath has a separate shower and corner garden tub.  A powder room for guests is just outside the master suite.  On the opposite side of this floor plan, two generous bedrooms share a bathroom.  The real surprise of this design is located through a door off the breakfast room.  Steps lead up to two bonus rooms offering limitless possibilities for home office space, a craft room, guest room, playroom, etc.  Together they offer nearly 800 sq. ft. of additional living space.  This plan is one in a series of signature designs, the defining element being the foremost walls of the screened porch which form a “W”.

Great Baby Boomer Ranch House Plan

by JimW 14. April 2009 12:08

We’ve integrated our customers‘ most requested features into a mid-sized ranch with the creation of the Mount Airy home plan. The Craftsman style siding and stone exterior is accented with a “Palladian” window, dormers, multi-level trim and an inviting front porch. A flexible office/living/4th bedroom, an exquisite master suite, a 3-car garage with a utility sink, and a large screened porch are sure to make this 2000 square foot home plan irresistible.

The exceptional master suite, with direct access to the deck, a sitting area, full-featured bath, and spacious walk-in closets, create a true “Master’s Retreat.” A bay window brightens the casual dining room and kitchen. Vaulted or trayed ceilings adorn the living, family room, master suite and cozy “coffee corner.” Other rooms have 9’ ceilings. The upper level bonus room features 495 square feet of functional living space with 5 foot knee walls rising up to an 8 foot ceiling. The secondary bedrooms, each measuring approximately 13‘ x 11’, have walk-in closets and share a “Jack and Jill” bath. A breezy screened porch, measuring 16‘ x 13’8“ features a vaulted ceiling with a ceiling fan.
